Gray, an old friend once told me something that took me forty years to appreciate.

He said:- "Sometimes it's better if we don't ever get to touch our dreams."

I had always dreamed of being very wealthy, and when I became so the reality brought me nothing but sadness and despair.

Beware wishing and dreaming, you may get them granted!

Goodnight my friends. See you all tomorrow.

Kitos.

Yes, I should agree.

Words or even dreams come back to us but not the way we want :)

So many words for today. Good night friends.

Dear Maria,

Sorry, but it sounds so egoistic ;) I have a brother. I went to ordinary government school, but my brother went to Turkish Private School, and my father spent enough money to his school, camps, trips and to everything to make him a VERY GOOD GUY :) I've never been jealous of him. I've read his books in English. Sometimes attended his spectacles at school.
We both got into universities and finished them. t I've learned too much from him. His influence to me made me different between my friends.
Now I have a friend whom I can to talk to, to go shopping and etc.
I wished I had one more brother :)

Regards,

~Phoebe

Dear Kitos,

I've never wanted to be a rich girl, and to have all the money in the world. The only thing I want from life, is not to loose the sense of happiness.

You haven't told what happend the next yet.But if it makes you sad, and to remember all you have gone through, don't remember them. Because it hurts, it really hurts!!

Kito's story. #20 (permalink) Thu Jul 23, 2009 9:25 am   Kito's story.

These were indeed, the happiest years of my life.
Although I was working long hours, we still found time to move to a new house, and my wife proved her abilities as both a mother and a versatile home-maker.

The little spare time that I had was spent in improving and altering the whole house, room by room. Whilst I did the modifications my wife put the finishing touches to the decoration and furnishings.
Within a very short time we had a property whose value had quadrupled, seemingly overnight. Time certainly flies when you are enjoying yourself.

The next ten years saw us moving house no less than seven times, each time making extensive alterations and improvements to each property. Along with each of the moves came an increase in our bank balance. We were becoming rich!

It was at this time that my job at the gas-plant was becoming redundant, and it was decided to close the plant completely.
I was offered a new position in the main offices of the company. This time I was to be as an office manager, responsible for many administrational duties.
The salary being offered was very attractive, along with a car allowance and six week annual holiday.
Like a fool I turned it down, and choose to accept a redundancy package worth a few thousand pounds.

My life was once again a challenge, but with a comfortable bank balance and a prestigious home I had few worries.
It was decided that we should put our home-making skills to good use and we opened a kitchen & bathroom showroom.
My wife ran the business, along with a few paid staff, and I did the installation work of the kitchens and bathrooms. Business was booming and again the bank balance reflected this.

Life was beginning to slow down and I found myself becoming bored with the constant routine. It was time for another change!

We left the business in the hands of relatives and moved to the South-West of England with the intention of enjoying an early retirement. Life was ideal, but there were clouds on the horizon which were to about to change our rosy life-style.

It was like that for my granny. I have never had a brother and sister but I know that many siblings quarrel a lot when they are children and sometimes it dosen't stop when they grow up.

I have read a book about a person who got diabetes and her sisters was very jealous at her.

I have had a deaf-blind friend who got two hearing sisters and they were forced to help my deaf-blind friend at lot before the assistans reform came for deaf-blind users in Sweden. That's not funny when you are a child.

I got to step-siblings when I was 12 and I thought my daddy and my daddys new wife was very mean to me. They gave me very meagre portion for exemple. My daddy's children was not used to get so much food as me. Now I meet my daddy's new wife's children once in a blue moon. They don't want to meet me so much.

Dear Maria,

You say you have no brothers and sisters. But actually yo do!!! Your father's children from another woman are also considered to be your brothers and sisters.

If your stepmother gave you a meal in little portions, it means she's dishonest and your father couldn't rule in his family!!!God sees everything, and one day we all will answer for our mistakes. I belive to justice of life!!

There are lots o examples when brothers and siters died saving each-other....

My greatest regret was in not ever having a brother or sister. It's a lonely life when you are an only child, and when you are poor you don't have the luxury of being spoiled.

All of my friends had brothers or sisters or both, and how I envied them. Being alone in your bedroom is such a lonesome place.

Even now, late in life, I still yearn for the close friendship of a brother or sister, but that's just another thing I never had in my life, and believe me, there were many, many more.

Dear Someone,

We, all human beeings follow our dreams. And by following them we face problems, and these problems need to be solved. To solve them we make desicions. If you get what you needed it means your desicion was right, and vice versa. That is why in all societies there persons called wise or clever by others. These are the ones who knows what is better or bad in this life. They can guess and they are good in desicion making.

I'm 21 years old girl :) Years will show if things considered to be good by me was right or not....

Regards,

Phoebe
