I am without brothers and sisters too. When I was a child I didn't want any brothers and sisters. My mum and dad could afford to go abroad with me. I was happy to have two of my friends at a holiday to Spain. Their parents just payed the journey to Spain where we stayed for two weeks. My parents paid the other costs like food at resturants and others things we wanted to have and do. My friends had siblings so their parents couldn't afford to pay so much for their stay at Spain

But when I was a teenager I wished I had a sister. When I was in my teens I got aware of my hearing loss and started to learn sign-language. When I wished I had a sister who I could communicate with easily.

I don't think of step-siblings as real siblings. My daddy went abroad with them but he has never done it with me. I have never been allowed to go on holiday abroad with them just in Sweden. My mum and I have been abroad since my mum and dad divored but not my dad and I.

In 1986 my mum, my granny and I was to England. In 1990 my granny and I was to Scotland. I will go to England with my daddy when I have sold my garden and my summer cottage. In Sweden you are allowed to have just 100.000 Swedish Crowns if you are in need of housing allowance for your flat . Garden and summer cottages are the same as money for the local tax office in Sweden.
It was a mistake to buy my granny's garden and summer cottage.

In Indian society for example was a guy who also was considered as wise or clever by others. He told people that their main problem is in following their dreams. His name was Buddha.

Dear Someone,

"He told people that their main problem is in following their dreams"- can you explain it widely? And how does Budda solve this problem?

Regards,

Phoebe

Dear Maria,

I'm not so wise to give an advice. But I'll give you one. Our lives are too short and we should enjoy it as much as possible. Why don't you you enjoy your life with your mother and granny? I understand you need accompany of your father. If you don't have this chance, thinking all the day long about him and making yourself sad and unhappy you traumatize yourself!!! Try to enjoy things available.

Step-siblings are real sibling as you are related by blood.

Please note than sometimes friends understand us better than 'real-siblings' . Make friends and have a fun. Get close to your religion and feeling the God in your heart you will never feel alone!

In friendship,

~Phoebe

Well, frankly speaking I'm not buddhist. I just heard this concept occasionally. The core of his teaching as far as I can remember - to get rid of desires. Only man without desires can be truly happy. He also taught how to achieve this but you better read it in Internet.

I don't believe in God. And my step-sibling the have never talked with me as a normal person since they grow up. Many people talk with me like I was a child. I see my step-siblings once in the blue moon. I am hard of hearing thats why many people talk with me like I was a child. :-(

There is a saying in this part of the world -- never ask woman about her age, it hardly changes ;)

I just wondered why she wanted to know who old I am. I thought that was off topic. I am not going to tell you. That sort of question is not what you ask a person the very first time on a forum.

Maria,

I was asking your age because of your post. I thought may be you were young enough and that is why people talk to you as you were a child. Otherwise, why should I need how old were you?! I don't need confrontations.

Russians say: "Moy dom, moya krepost' " (My home is my castle)- meaning all the problems of the family should stay within the walls of that family. In every post you are talking about your problems to persons whom you don't know and I think it's normal for you. At the same time you find impolite my question. It would be impolite if I asked it somewhere else, not after your post where your age is the subject. Anyway, I present my appologies for the question.

Regards,

~Phoebe

I am hard of hearing thats why :-( A hard of hearing person told me that some people use to ask his wife things about him when he doesn't hear.

Hard of hearing people are sometimes treated as children or mentally retarded people. :-(
