What kind of influence do the media do?

What kind of influence do the media(Television, movies,....etc.) have on people. discuss reasons and examples showing your opinion.

Media with its various content have a strong influence on people all over the world, despite their age ranges or level of knowledge. They have both good and bad influences on people.

The Television plays a significant role in people's life nowadays. On television, several and different programs can be watched such as: talk shows programs, news, commentary shows, movies, series,cartoons, cooking shows, scientific films,..etc.
Each of these calssifications has its own effect on people.

Talking about talk shows, in my opinion are so bad programs, I can not bear their silly prepration of inviting two groups of people to discuss some arguments or problems and the two groups are poles apart, each on talks over the other and at the end, the problem has not been resolved at all, the only influence I got from this is headache.

Some people enjoying watching movies, in their opinions, movies is only for amusment, especially if it is a comedy one. Others found that it may dicuss a significant issue like some society problems. But movies have a very seriuos and dangerous especially on teenagers, who are passionated to immitate any action they have watched in a movie which they are intersted in. I remmber that a boy of 14 years old, jumped from the fifth floor wearing superman suite immitating superman movie. Ofcourse everyone can imagine the end of the story, which considered the very bad influence of some movies.

Parents should take a special care for what their childern watch on TV. As they are in a critical period of their life, every program they care about should be examined by parents at first. Cartoons are interesting for childern as well as for their parents, and these cartoons have no serious or dangerous effect on them, so childern can watch them safely.

So many examples can be added. Not only bad influence we can get from media, but also godd influence such as, program discussin how to solve our dialy, social, economic problems we are facing and how to modify our behaviours.

In conclusion, As media affect the society badly, also it influences it in a good manner, but in my opinion the bad influence is larger than the good one.

In the introduction paragraph, usually you should make an overview of what you planed to say about in the next paragraphs. With this essay, I think you should point out that media has both good and bad effect on people

In the body of the essay, you should give some detail and arguement to support for the ideaS given in the introduction paragraph. With this essay I think you should have two paragraphs. One is on bad effect and the other is on good effect

Barron's book on Toefl essay is a very good book. It shows you how to develop an essay as well as develop each paragraph, make a statement and so on.
