In next sunday I have an exam in the " Basic Research" cource

I'm completely ready to take but , our Egyption Dr. give us a question

* Compare between experimental research and the theory only research ? and why ?

I feel this is the difference between two:
-In experimental research, there is always experiment or practical lab testing involved e.g. medical research
-In theoretical research, conclusions are drawn from observations and logical reasons based on proven theory e.g. research about human history
