Hello friends,
Every type standardize test test has its own sets of Rules that we have to follow and need to know these rules.
We can't take every standardized test in the same way! The SAT has its own set of rules that you must know in order to score effectively. Here are some SAT test tips for you that will maximize your time because they follow the SAT rules.
Use the elimination process: It is the best way to choose the correct answer. Get rid of as many wrong choices as you can on the SAT before answering a question. Look for extremes like "never" "only" "always" in Critical Reading; in math's look for opposites like a substitution of 1 for 1. And in the writing section look for words that sound similar.
Answer every questions only if you can eliminate answer choices. If you are not sure to eliminate the wrong answers or confused to select the correct one then leave it unanswered because you are penalized ž point when you get an answer wrong on the SAT test. So the smartest thing to do is to only answer a question if you can use a process of elimination and get rid of two or three answer choices.
Leave any question blank where you can't identify at least one wrong choice, except for the math grid-ins: You would found a type of question that you will have no idea, how to answer. None of the answer choices will seem familiar; you may not have ever even heard the words listed on the test paper. If you can't eliminate even one wrong choice from the answers, you should leave those type of question blank, except for the math grid-ins, where there is no penalty for guessing. And it smart to get zero points than reduce one fourth of marks.
Write in the test booklet: Use your booklet to get advantage of writing or solving math's as it will be not seen by the other. You should use your pencil to cross out wrong answers. It would help you score high if you write the formulas and equations, solve math problems, outline and paraphrase and underline to read easily.
Transfer your questions at the end of each section. Write your answers in the test booklet and transfer them at the end of the every section instead of going back. It will make fewer mistakes and save your time.
Slow down: It is so typical to solve all questions and maintain accuracy. Answer fewer questions correctly instead of making any mistakes to solve all. It will give a higher mark in making 75% correct with correct answer than solve all problems and getting only 50% correct.
Do not second-guess yourself: Your first aptitude for answer choice is usually correct. Do not go back through the test and change your answers.
These ten tips may help you when you are taking the SAT.
