Do you think learning with people of different age in the same class is a good way of studying foreign lanuages?
With regard to learning language, it is widely believe that people of different ages can learn together, but linguists tell us that people of similar age accept languages by semblable way, children are easy to learn foreign languages by imitation, but adults would need to know the grammatical structure of language to understand the conversation with foreigners. Let's hope the linguists are right, because it seems likely that the foreign language class with mix ages would be a bumpy road.
Even same age people have different dificulties with foreign languages, mixing different ages together in the same class let the study period has more problems. If beardless Jason indefatigable, ready to learn a new foreign song after a long conversation, while well-rounded Lea needs to review the test book for half hour after learning speach. How happy can they be together in the same class? Compare little Mary whose attitude toward study lauguage is one of nonchalance, because she can learn it very well just by repeating the words from the teacher, to her classmate Kit, thirty-years old, who is intensely committed to every details of the sentences' order and still hard to get the full score. How long can the class be before one of them starts to get on the other's nerves?
No, the outlook is not bright for these mixed age classes. And what of their test books, the materials that they need to have when they are learning foreign languages? In the library and bookstore, there are separate areas for children and adults to looking for books. It is hard to find the test books which can fit the the reading ability of both teenager and the elders. Mix-age classes may work, but despite the people's affinity of learning foreign lauguages, it might not be sagacious for learning foreign language with mutiplicate ages together.
