Topic: What are the expected characteristics of your teacher?
This is an speaking question. However, I myself find it to be really interesting to write about. All of your comments are welcomed. Sincerely.(^*^)
There is no question that teachers are the most important and influential persons in ones life. They teach us not only knowledge but also how to be gracious persons. Even though they are different in the way of teaching, I, however, would say that my teachers should have such characteristics as follows.
Firstly, they must be knowledgeable. This characteristic is very important and seems to be a vital element contributing to the development of students. To illustrate this, students who are very keen on asking their misunderstanding information really long their teachers for fulfilling their questions. So, a teacher with his/her academic knowledge can explain their students questions logically and concisely. This, as a result, should be the first step to become a good teacher.
Secondly, the most important aspect of a good teacher is his/her methodology. To tell the truth, regardless of how well-educated the teachers are, their ability to convey lessons to catch the brain of students is also highly in need. There were many teachers, in my own experience, just teach their students but not able to know whether their students understand or not. This, however, is very dangerous since if students cannot totally understand the lessons efficiently, they are likely to lose it later.
The last inevitable aspect is their enthusiasm. Teacher with this ability can inspire their students with the sense of fun and being passionate in their studying. For instance, I am really excited to attend and listen to my English teacher for her smile and attractive gestures make students available to think that classes are actually their second home.
To sum up, I always convincingly say that teacher with these aforementioned characteristics can lead the young generation to a bright future. On the other hand, it is not just knowledge but also the conduction to indeed become a useful person in life.
