For me "Out of my mind" make more sense. This is because at one time it was in my mind and now is out.

Hi again Hema, out of your mind can be used as;

You are crazy.

You are extremely worried about someone or something.

You are in a highly agitated state.

"Slipped your mind", is that you have simply forgotten something, nothing more is implied.
