Dear Linh,

Everybody understands the word 'love' in his/her way. "Romanticism" is not what considered in 18th century, nowadays. Today calling a man romantic, we consider a man with poetic characteristics. I think such couples has passion of words, and most of them 'fight' 22 hours of day, and compose poems during rest 1 hour, and spend just sweet 1 hour under the shadow of romanticism.

Let's consider the greatest loves of the World. Romeo and Juliet...Everybody knows how this story ended...Leila and Medjnun..."Megjnun' means "sick of love". People called Qeys in this way because of poems composed in love to Leila...The end of this story is the same as "Romeo and Juliet's...

I've never been a romantic type, and never watched Indian movies Smile I thought, I would never love anybody in this life. At our lessons of Sociology at the university, there was a topic named " Mate selection" and it stated that there were two kinds of mate selection: Homogeneous mate selection- It's when you love a man with the same characteristics .And the 2nd one is "Complementary need theory" - when you choose a man with opposite characteristics to complete you. Then I decided, I wanted the option A. It's very important when he understands you, respects you. Scientists say that love has 5 years to live Smile I don't need a person who will break my hearth every day and the next day stand with bunch of flowers and piece of paper with poem written down on it.

The great day came and I fell in love one day with one young guy. He was the one who could be my best friend because we had a lot in common. But it ended in love. When we began to go out, I found out how romantic my ‘ex-friend was. That was a good surprise of life Smile Now I see we're loosing that romantics from day to day, but it's normal. I know, all of my life I'll have a husband with whom I'll watch the movies, play tennis, or sit and chat doing nothing. Because I haven’t chosen him under deep passion and love, I've found a man who was my ideal type and after that all rest came to us….

Romance is the look that you share from across a crowded room.

The momentary touching of fingers as you pass each other at a party, socialising.

The brushing of her hair as you pass her chair.

The sharing of a knowing smile.

Romance costs nothing, but is worth everything, no matter what age you may be.

Hello, Linh.
Each person needs his second half. Does this second half have to be romantic or not it depends on what kind of person you are youself. Some people need romantic partner and some hate romance. I think this word comes from some kind of literature or art which somehow was connected to Rome or Italy and was filled with all that stuff.

Someone,

Now I have a brief information about it.

As I see from Widikepia, it's a theory.

In my case it's practice. Didn't fail yet. It says that your ideal partner must complement you. I.e. your weakness must be his strength and vice versa. Such relations between people are called dual. When you are with you dual, you feel safe and comfortable. The best relations for the family pair. I've checked it on myself. Wink Me and my wife are totally different people but we are happy together.

To be happy you need someone who has similar aspects with you and, at the same time she or he must have a different aspect with you.

Yes, I also think that romantic is the basic of the love. Romantic is ability to find out and build up the nice, the beauty in something, someone that few person can feel it. So as usual, it should be balance, because sometime we also must find out the bad to avoid or fix it. Then, sometime we are romantic, sometime we're not.

I wish you all a happy family Smile The most important thing is happiness. Indeed sociologists say that there are two kinds of mate selection. And we all will belong to one of them Smile
