Hi Adam,
I think you speak well and it's easy to understand what you say. I think to improve it you have to change the intonation - rhythm. Without correct emphasize of vowels, poses and speed of pronunciation, English words are getting into other language "souse". I know this because I am also not a native speaker. Since I am not a linguist, just feel free to omit this. Just thought to share my thoughts. Wish you all the best. |

Hello everybody!
I think this is wonderful chance to improve spoken English, which is very very important life skill. I try to do so by communicating with native speakers and take advantage of every chance. However, not always you can get feedback from people and what is important, from linguists. Please let me know your thoughts on how can I improve my spoken English and or where I can put more focus and of course hard work.
Your comments and suggestions will be highly appreciated.
Have a fantastic day! Arthur |

Hi Authur and Adam,
I just wanted to take a minute and say hello to both of you. This is Tom Kane writing from the United States.
I think you both sound great. If you continue to do what you're doing - that is typing out your message, and recording it, you will see an improvement. Like anything else, it takes time.
So, again, I just wanted to welcome you both. I would also encourage you both to check out the "listening comprehension" resources here on English-test.net. They are free to use and another great tool to help you.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Take care,
Tom |

Hi Lilica,
Thank you for your message! It's wonderful to hear from you. You know, I think you are already living your dream - because you DO speak English very well. I understand that you want to improve, but you're doing a great job.
I have mentioned to other people on the forum that English-test.net has a large section of free "listening comprehension" resources. They really are a nice way to help you improve. Just keep doing what you're doing, and you will get better!
So, tell me about Brazil. Do you work?
I look forward to hearing from you!
Take care,
Tom |
