I was getting bored while sitting on the bed #1 (permalink) Wed Aug 05, 2009 20:27 pm   I was getting bored while sitting on the bed

My respected teacher,

1: "I was getting bored while sitting on the bed." OR "I was getting bored while I was sitting on the bed." ?
2: "Some people start writing poetry when their hearts are broken." OR "Some people start to write poetry when their heart is broken." ?
3: ''Not to speak of writing poetry in English, I can't even write in my own language." Explain this please?
4: "We must build vocabulary up.'' OR "We must build up vocabulary."

Thanks in advance!

I was getting bored while sitting on the bed #2 (permalink) Wed Aug 05, 2009 21:26 pm   I was getting bored while sitting on the bed

According to me,
1: I was getting bored while sitting in the bed"
2: Some people start writing (I would say "doing" )poetry when their hearts breack or they are in love
3: sentence # 3 means that speaker is saying he/she can not do poem in her/his own laguage and therfore doing poetry in English is very far beyound his/her capacity.
4:We must build our vocabulary
