Correct answer: (a) increased

i would like to know why here we couldnt use the word 'heighten' or 'double'. is it a fixed expression?

Doubled would work if it weren't preceded by the adverb considerably.

Doubled is non-gradable-- a value cannot be very doubled or a little doubled.

Heightened does not work because it does not collocate well with value here as the worth of a property-- though we do use it in non-monetary senses: Keeping track of industry practices may be of heightened value to you.
