I have not the slightest idea. I got an essay corrected by an Englishman once and all the corrected was linguistic misstakes...

I couldn't find any grammar mistakes like forgetting the plural S for example or using the wrong verbform.

Here it is

Here is an essay I wrote when I had been to Scotland with my
granny. If I were a hearing person my English would be much
better. Hearing people in Sweden learn a lot from TV.

I know I make many errors with prepositions but there
are not enough good rules for prepositions.

My granny and I started our journey from Helsingborg. The
destination of the journey was Scotland. We went there by
coach. We were only in Scotland for five days, because a lot
of the time was taken by the boat and bus trips.

From Helsingborg we went by boat to Denmark, then through
Denmark to Rödby. From there we went by boat to Puttgarden
in Germany. We spent the second night in Hamm. The third
day we continued our journey through Germany, Belgium,
Holland, and France.

We boarded a ferry in Dunkerque (English "Dunkirk"?), in
France, headed for Ramsgate in England. From Ramsgate we
went to London, where we spent the third night.

Harrogate we visited Nottingham, which was the
home town of Robin Hood, and we also visited York.

On Thursday we headed for "home" in Aviemore. On the way
there we stopped at Durham for a few hours, where we had our
lunch. We then continued through North Cumberland
Nature Reserve. We arrived in Aviemore in the evening.
When we had had something to eat, we found information
about what to do in Scotland.

(Later my granny said she would give it to me. She
had intended to buy a jumper for me, but she wanted to
be sure that I liked it, so she wanted me to look for it
myself.)

When I discussed the jumper with the shopkeeper
I explained that I was Swedish and asked her if I could
get a tax refund receipt. She said, "I never
even thought about it. I thought you where from
Britain. We usually ask foreigners if they would like
a tax refund receipt."

I'm gratified to hear the British people say I speak English
well, and if they take me for being a native English
speaker, I feel especially proud.

On Sunday we went to see some Scottish castles and a
whisky distillery. (Some people say "whisky" is
Scottish and "whiskey" is Irish.) That day we also
went to see The Loch Ness Monster Observatory. I took
a photo of it, so I have proof that it exists. After
visiting the Loch Ness Monster, we visited Urquhart
Castle. Then we took a boat trip on the Loch Ness Sea
before we went to Inverness and "home" to Aviemore.

On Monday we visited Edinburgh, the capital of
Scotland. There we had plenty of time for sightseeing.
Before we came to Edinburgh we got to see a sheep
dairying farmyard. That was one of the surprises
during our time in Scotland. In the evening there was
a farewell party, but I didn't join that party, because
I hate bagpipes, which are the "national instrument" of
Scotland.

The next day, Tuesday, we started our journey
home. We left Aviemore for Wrexham. On the way to
Wrexham we stopped at Gretna Green, which is world
famous for runaway marriages. When Scotland
was independent many people who under aged went to
Gretna Green to be married, as marriage under 18
years of age was forbidden in England then. After
visiting Gretna Green we went to Wrexham in
Wales, passing en route through the Lake District,
which is said to be one of the most beautiful regions of
England,.

The next day we started with a sightseeing tour in
Wales. On the way from Wales to Maidstone we stopped

We arrived in Maidstone, our destination for the day,
late as usual. The next day, Thursday, we left England,
and after the ferry trip to France we went through Gent
(English "Ghent") in Belgium to Antverpen (English
Antwerp), where we had lunch.

In Antverpen we got pancakes. I don't know if pancakes
are a specialty of Belgium, but I didn't like
the way they served them, which was with ice-cream and
chocolate sauce. When we had had our lunch, we went though
Belgium to Ludenscheild in Germany. where we spent the
night. After breakfast the next day we travelled through
Bremen and Hamburg to Puttgarden.

I must say that the journey to Scotland was very
successful for me because I had both an English teacher
and a sign language interpreter. I also got many
opportunities to talk a lot of English, especially when
we stopped in Llangollen and when we were in Edinburgh.

I went into many bookshops in both Edinburgh and
Llangollen and asked how to find certain books. I only
asked about books about the English language and joke books.
Then the bookkeeper, who could hear I was not British, asked
me where I was from and so on. My pronunciation in English
is far from perfect, but I try hard to improve my
pronunciation.

======= End essay ======

What's a "sheep dairying farm". It sounds like they raise
the sheep for their milk.

Is there really a "Loch Ness Sea". A body of water can be a
lake, a loch, a sea, or an ocean. "Loch Ness Sea" sounds at
least redundant.
