In my opinion, There is a slight difference.
Want is followed by the infinite with to but wanna is not followed by the infinite with. to.
also, wanna is like the short form of want to.

Ex: I want to go to school.
I wanna go to school.

Is that clear?

Hello Honey,

The word "wanna" is not standard spelling. It simply represents the way "want to" often sounds in spoken English.
Sometimes it may also be used to represent the way "want a" sounds in spoken English.

You should not write "wanna" in standard or formal English. If you plan to take any standardized tests in English (such as TOEFL, for example), or plan to use your English academically or in a job, you should should get into the habit of writing properly. That includes using standard spelling, punctuation, and capitalization.

By the way, there is no such place as "saudi arabia". However, there is a place called Saudi Arabia.

Hello Honey,

I think you must be pulling my leg when you ask a question such as this:
Quote:
But what does "want a" mean?

There is nothing complicated or mysterious about "want a". They are two very commonly used words. And when they are together in a sentence, the pronunciation often sounds like "wanna". In other words, people often don't pronounce the T in the word "want" at all, so the words "want a" end up sounding like "wanna".

I'm sure you already know what the verb "want" means, and also what the word "a" means. Right?

If you listen to the song in this music video, you'll hear someone sing the words "want a" quite a few times. You will hear that the singer sings those words so that they sound like "wanna":
I Want a Mom That'll Last Forever

You're welcome, Honey. I'm glad you liked the music.

I know that you are an ESL student and I know you are a girl. You seem to be a very friendly girl, but I do not believe you are a stupid girl.

Keep on practicing and asking questions. And don't forget about basic things such as spelling, capitalization and punctuation. Those things are important parts of English too.
