Please clarify my doubt regarding the usage of would:

Is this sentence correct?

I would appreciate your help.

or should I use the sentence

I will appreciate your help.

Hi, Vineet!

If I am not mistaken, in that context would is used to express courtesy. If you use would you say that you are grateful to someone for something. And if you use will it means that you will be grateful to someone if (s)he helps you.

So both sentences are correct, but they mean a bit different things Smile

In addition, the would form is the expected. The will form is extremely limited in utility; I doubt if I have ever heard or read it.
