Dear Alan Townend, I read your letter but wanted to ask you what you meant by stating - we did not dend any cards to a single sole. Should it not be a single soul. Please explain. HAROLD LAKSHMAN FERNANDO>

Hello Harold Lakshman Fernando,

You might want to look at the original newsletter again, as I think you might be confused.
The newsletter clearly states:
Quote:
But I have to tell you that again we didn't send any 'Wish you were here' postcards to a single soul.

No Harold, you are wrong. Look at my quote above. It is taken direct from the essay.

Hello Alan:

What an adventure you recounted in this new essay!. For that holiday you had bad luck. That’s why you didn’t send any ‘Wish you were here’ postcards.

I see that things didn’t get better when you left France and traveled inside of UK.

In this essay there is a bunch of very interesting expressions to learn.

Excellent essay! I really enjoyed the essay.

Regards.
