Not a lot of English soccer fans here I guess. Still that is a good way to learn English, if your reading about a favorite sports team.

Hi Waxgourd,
1)Man Utd, of course.
2)I like Steven Gerard from Liverpool. He may not be the best right now, but he is the one with charisma and leadership.

Self control Eugene - name of the game. "And lead us not into temptation."
Sorry Eugene as Manu through n through all I gotta say is - there is throwing it away and throwing it away. I would say with Liverpool in top spot at the time this was as spectacular as it was tragic

If you ask me this was end of not just Gerrard, but that particular liverpool side and eventually the end of Benitas. Everything just went wrong after this.

Hi Jamie,
I'm not budging here: those stars are mere mortals, anyway. Take Ryan Giggs, Zidane,Rooney... One can't control oneself 24/7 living the life under permanent strain.
Playing football yourself, you must know what it is adrenaline surge and rage on the pitch. I would never blame them for their being the peers of you and me, but rather forgive them as they have big hearts.
Regards.
