Which combination sounds better: monuments to animals or animal monuments?

Hello Pokemon,

"Animal monuments" sounds better to me.

Also, please note that it should read "monuments of animals".

Furthermore, I'm not sure if "monuments" qualifies here. In my opinion, "sculptures" would fit better.

"Monument" is possible if a statue is not just a piece of art but commemorates a specific animal or event.
