Please, help!! I need help with my homework. Does anybody understand this question? "What divisions do you see around you: black/white in crowd/out crowd?"

I would guess it's asking what kind of divisions or differences do you see in people around you; what seems to be a dividing factor between people around you.

I.e., do you see people around you divided by race, by clique, religion, politics, socio-economic status, etc.
