Hi guys,

may I have a question about this american slang phrase? It means run / run away. However, is this short phrase being used only by robbers who just discovered that the policie is about catch them?...I mean this situation, for example...Robbers are in the bank...

robber A: Take this money...Ou, cops!
robber B: Chees it!..Smile

Or can this phrase be also used in the following situation?

Mother to child, who is about to go out to play football with friends.

Mother: Take the milk from the fridge and chees it! (In the meaning that he should have been already on the field. He's gonna be late.)

thanks in advance for clarification

cheers

It is 'cheese it', but the phrase is quite out of date now, and appears almost solely in the jocular 'Cheese it, the cops' (or some other authority figure) in comics. It doesn't sound very good in your sentence, PM.
