I'm confused about the usage of 2 these words , esp. in a particular situation . Please help me distinguish them by filling the space in this sentence
"The scenery in North Wales is magnificient and so this area is very popular with tourists. Situated on a dramatic part of the rocky coastline is a village, ______ in Britain, called Portmeirion."
A. single B.unique C.particular D.only

Thanks in advance

HI,

Let's look at the list -

'single' suggests one in number. A single parent means that it is one parent - mother or father.
'unique' suggests that there is one and no other. This is a unique building because you won't see it anywhere else in the world.
'particular' suggests 'special'. There is one particular book I am looking for, which has a red and white cover.
'only' is an adverb and suggests that something is exclusive or an action is exclusive. It only rains in the evening but during the day the sun shines.
