Hi,
I am a new member from Turkey. Is there any one to explain this idiom?

...the scientists made some dubious leaps of faith in their analysis...

Thank you...

Hi Adnan,

A leap of faith suggests that you decide to do something big because you believe (have faith) that you will be successful. This is related to the phrase 'leap in the dark' where you decide to jump into something without knowing what's going to happen.
