Hello everybody! I am Miklos from Hungary. I have been a new member of this site for about a week but this is my first post on the forum. Unfortunately my English is not very good so I ask you to tell me what my mistakes are. I have a lot of questions so probably we will meet each other on other topics. The reason why I came here is that I have difficulties with English because I cannot meet foreigners as often as I could and I am out of practice as well. The other reason is that I cannot express myself as easy as anybody can but probably that is the main reason why I have difficulties. I hope, with your help I can improve my English here.
And a few things about myself. I live with my wife in Budapest, Hungary near the river Danube. We have a little black dog, a mixture of Spaniel and Schnauzer called Blanka. She is a very cute doggy, lives with us in a flat.
As far as my hobbies are concerned I am interested in a lot of things. I have played the violin for almost thirteen years then I joined a rock band as a singer. We played in a garage just for fun. After splitting up I bought a bass guitar but nowadays I play the classical guitar. I bought one to play my baby. I am interested in sailing as well. I have got a small catamaran for two and have built a five-meter long dinghy. Unfortunately I had to stop working for several reasons but I hope I will sailing it next summer. I like books too but I don't read very much. One of my favourite authors is Arthur Ransome. His children books are about sailing, hiking and camping. Each of them binds to water life somehow.
If I and my wife will have the opportunity we will travel to England to discover the places where the stories take place. I am not particularly watching TV but if there is an interesting programme on it (eg. series or sports) I watch it. From series I like the Friends, The Simpsons and The Monty Python's flying circus. I used to like football but nowadays I would rather watch rugby because it seems to be rather complicated and this inspires me to understand it. Recently my new hobby is taking a photo. If I find something that seems interesting I take it and if the picture is good enough I hang it on the wall.
Well, that is all about me. I hope I have made just a few mistakes and if you find something that is not clear or I should use it another way just tell me.
All the best, Miklos |
