"When people succeed, it is because of hard work. Luck has nothing to do with success." Do you agree or disagree with the quotation above? Use specific reasons and examples to explain your position.
It is generally accepted that success is not easy to achieve and depended on a lot of factors, such as hard work, good luck, health condition or even the once-in-a-lifetime chance.Today, people are pushing, but in vain, for a shortcut to their desired successes.through my lens, I have faith that a grand succuss primarily comes from hard work, and also from good luck partially.
First of all, one can never expect to achieve his or her personal goal without paying genergy and time in the process towards the goal. Because in this process, you must accumulate advantages through your efforts and get rid of disadvantages which will hamper your progression. For example, the world-famous Alfred Wegener, a German geologist who came up with the theory of continental drift, immersed himself in the professional materials and reference books when dealing with the geological problem that intrigued him so much.It was the months of efforts on this problem that help him rise to such a high position in the geological realm. What is more, an inspirational saying by the American poetess M.Moore goes " Victory won't come to my unless I go to it", which manifestly indicates that the key to success is the hard work we have to make. Therefore, from the above points, a sound conclusion can be easily uttered that it is the hard work that pave our way to success.
However, while there is no doubt about the dominant position of hard work in the process of pursuing successes, it should not be ignored that good luck sometimes play a constructive role. Take a football match that I watched last week for an example, my city's team was considered inferior to the opponent in strength, and throughout most part of the match, the opponent team kept ahead of my city's team by 1 score. When we all predicted that our team would eventually be defeated, the miracle occured because one opponent player fauled which gave our team a chance of penalty kick. At last, the match end up as a draw game which is much more acceptable than a loss. This unexpected result proved to me that good luck sometimes is responsible for the favorable outcomes.
To sum up, both hard work and good luck are the contributing aspects of a success. However, hard work, in fact, is given much more credit for the achievements we pursue. Therefore, in the process of pursuing a success, the contributions of working hard undeniably outweighs those of good luck.
