Sir, I have several confusions since there are so many terms on structure in my handbooks , so I'm asking your guidance and counsel. My questions are:
I always use the term To be for Am, Is, Are, but my friend gave me the reference from her book, she showed me, the term for Am, Is, Are is Verb. According to you, which one is more appropriate for Junior High School(SMP)?
Do/Does are Modal?(right or wrong)? or kata kerja bantu. What about Auxiliary verb/ Modal Auxiliary? In my handbook, Auxiliary verb/ Modal Auxiliary are Shall and Will, Is that all?
Mr Bambang always use the term Bare infinitives, while in my hand book, I can't find this term. My understanding of bare infinitives is infinitives without to, for example: swim, I saw him swim. Is that all to define Bare infinitives?
Which one is correct? There is no chair or There is not any chair? Mr Husein said it must be the second. How about There is no water? I always use there is no water, but my handbook stated There is not much water.
Former President Clinton used : There is no sexual harrastment for Monica Lewinsky's Affair to manipulate the statement in language structure, he used present tense instead of past tense when he was testifying at the court, because it should be There was no sexual harrastment? In language structure, technically he was correct? I only read this people's opinion on newspaper several years ago : Why are you using present tense?
It must be She teaches english, but so many people misinterpret, they just use she teach. Correct sir?
