Hello everybody,
what do you think about learning two or three laguages at the same time? may this work and gives good results? What do you advice me.

Hello Cate,

It has pros as well as cons, and it really depends if you can handle multi-tasking.

If the languages are similar to each other, your studies will perhaps be greatly eased. But you could also find yourself borrowing things from one language and applying them to another. This could also occur. It depends on how you perceive information and what you prefer.

If the languages are nothing alike, it's probably the same situation, but I don't have any experience there; thus, I cannot take a stand.

For as long as I remember, our schools teach children two foreign languages at the same time. And it works (depending on the quality sometimes).

The problem is that the learning doesn't only happen when you're consciously studying the languages. After you walk away from the books or recordings, your subconscious mind is active processing the information and arranging it for use. I find that if I study two or three languages in the same day, this seems to interfere with the work of the subconscious, but it may not work that way for everybody.
