Meaning: America as seen by Britons #1 (permalink) Mon Sep 07, 2009 15:54 pm   Meaning: America as seen by Britons

Dear teachers,

I've faced a paragraph in a grammar book that has a title as "America as seen by Britons".

The content of the paragraph appears to tell about a British saying what he feels about America after a period of time staying in the country.

So my question is: does the title mean to ask about the feelings of the British about America? or otherwise what does it mean, please? Could anyone rephrase it for me, please?

Many thanks,

KK

Hi KK,

'As seen by' suggests 'from the point of view of'. In other words what the writer thinks about America, how he regards America.
