Foreign language is a jewel of a life time

Hi dear members of this english forum. Greetings from Jakarta, Indonesia!

My name is Ratna. Although I've been receiving the english tests for many, many times, I've just had the time to join this forum.

My ultimate goal is to be an English Teacher, and I'm so much keen to do it abroad, away from my home. I've been learning English off and on. But, from my previous years, long, long time ago, I've studied it for almost my entire of life. And it's not enough!

Language is a skill, and a skill needs a practice, over and over again. In my previous days of studying English, I could speak and write it without any hesitation. Very, very fluently. As if it was my second language.

But, now the golden days were over! I need urgently to brush up and to catch up the skill again. And believe me, it's not easy. As our age is becoming older, it needs more extra efforts to practice. Imagine, now I need time to memorize again many vocabularies, to learn a lot grammar and structure issues. In the past, it's just like a piece of cake. Now, you have to shed blood and tears!

Believe it, if you can speak foreign language, it's like the world is in your hands. You can go anywhere, you speak and discuss with anybody. Keep this jewel tightly, hold on to your ground. Don't lose it, or you won't be able to get it again..
