How wonderful, to be a tree,
And hold the secrets of all you see.
To keep to yourself your sun-warmed bark,
And wrap it close when it's cold and dark.
To watch the people walking by,
To hear them laugh, to hear them cry.
Little children, little dogs,
Little squirrels, little frogs.
All this you see, in a normal day,
Whilst humans work, and others play.
Young couples lay there at your feet,
They know that you will be discreet.
Each day you're there, the whole year round,
Your roots so deep below the ground.
You purify our lives, our every breath,
The noxious fumes that bring our death.
Come hail or rain, like a loyal friend,
You'll be beside us till the end.

Kitos.
It could be better, but I'm just bored.

Each and every word is irreplaceable...there can't be anything more profound and simple.

Hi Daemon, where have you been hiding?

I've often wondered where you were.

Nice to have you back again.

Bill.

Hi Kitosdad,

even in times of boredom the tree was beside you and encouraged you to write that little poem.

Would you please pass my thanks to the tree then?

Michael

P.S. Unfortunately there is no "thumbs up" emoticon in the list Sad

Hello Michael.

I'm not too happy today. I've just been informed that my Mother has died.

Kitos, in this poem the tree represents your mother, isn't it? I am sorry to hear about your loss too...
