My Mother has died today. #1 (permalink) Sat Sep 12, 2009 12:00 pm   My Mother has died today.

I've had the news, my Mother's dead,
She's laying there in her single bed.
Alone and cold, at last unfurled,
No longer concerned about this world.

They say, she's gone to a better place,
I'll never again see her wonderous face.
A face filled with a lifetime of woe,
But she carried a smile, where'er she'd go.

Her friends all gone, her husband too,
No-one to tell her problems to.
She bore it all throughout her life,
Forever brave, in times of strife.

And now I hope she finds her place,
And the worries etched upon her face,
Will disappear like melting snow,
I know she knew, I loved her so.

Kitos.
