Hi Milanya. http://users.tinyonline.co.uk/gswithenbank/collnoun.htm I suppose that some of them are really difficult to use and some other are not used currently even for native speakers. thanks. _________________ The limits of my language are the limits of my universe.

Richard_Jack.c, I believe you are correct. A lot of them are not used by native speakers, at least not frequently. How often do people talk about auks, avocets, bobolinks, ptarmigans, or sheldrakes? But if the words exist why not learn them? It is fun. _________________ con·text - The part of a text or statement that surrounds a particular word or passage and determines its meaning. |
