I have problems too to record something on the forum. Maybe it's not anything wrong with your microphone. It is something wrong with the recording device on this forum. There is a button "record voice message" when you write a message in certain parts of the forum but it is hard to figure out how it works. I have tried to record something but I failed.

Try another headset, or get someone else to show you how to do it.
