You don't have to pay tax from 2002 to 2006 but would have to do from 2007 onwards.

If you are in 2006, would you be saying

This is my last year for tax exemption

or

This is my final year for tax exemption.

Which one is right and what is the difference.

Hi David,

I think in your sentence both 'final' and 'last' would have a different sense. 'Last' would suggest that this was the end of a series and 'final' would suggest that there will not be any further 'exemption' again.
