This is a question to all native speakers: What are you associations with the word 'pouch'? I'm asking because there is a small artificial peninsula near Bitterfeld, in Central Germany, called 'Pouch' (although it's pronounced differently than the English word).

Many thanks,
Torsten

Hi Torsten,

Usually a small bag or purse. (Kangaroos have a pouch, a tobacco pouch etc.) If there was a dip, or hollow, one could imagine it being named 'The Pouch'.

Looks like it might be a great place to sail? :)
