Hi Aleksandra,
An interesting question. End in means come to a conclusion with as in: The day started with sunshine and ended in rain storms. Our journey ended in disaster because we had forgotten our rail tickets
End up in also means conclude with but it also tells you the final place as in: He ended up in prison after the police had arrested him. We ended up in the middle of the countryside when the car broke down.
