A very sweet and bright good morning to all and sundry ESL Teachers,

Please tell me complete uses of "should". How "ought to" is different from "should" and
In what sort of situations both may be used. Please provide me some examples also.

Thanks a million in advance.

Hi,
They are very similar, and can often replace each other. However,
1."should" is much more frequent than "ought to".
2."ought to" is normally used in formal British English.
3.In American English, interrogative and contracted negative forms of "ought to" are rare;"should" is generally used instead:He ought to be here soon, shouldn't he?
