Hi Siai,

Just a word about asking a question - 'We are due to have a long power cut soon' What does this mean?

It means that soon there will be no electricity coming into our house for a long time. 'Due' suggests 'about to happen'. Look at this: We are due to have a lot of rain soon means we are going to get a lot of rain soon or we can expect a lot of rain soon.
