I'm sorry, I thought your question was a joke. If not, I don't understand it. A "bum" is not a profession: one cannot be a professional bum, unless it is a metaphor or a joke, in which case I need more context. A bum is a colloquial word for a lazy, useless person.

May be "bum" comes from the word bummer which means someone who drinks alot alkohol till the ecstacy but how can you be a professional bum or bummer
