Sorry, I refer to my question just now. I actually saw the term "Professional Bum" being used in the internet and as I do not know the meaning of it, I asked the question.

Ah, okay, now I understand. A bum is a good-for-nothing, someone who is lazy and does not make himself useful, probably doesn't have a job, et cetera. A "professional bum" is almost a contradiction in terms: to be a professional lazy guy is irony, meaning he is skilled at doing nothing useful.

Hi Maylee,

'Professional' is also used in an ironic way when you want to describe someone who never works but simply attends one academic course after another and gets called a 'professional student'.
