Hello Alan! I didn't understand at all this sentence:

Test No. incompl/inter-70 "How to criticize", question 5

There's really no virtue of me in pussy ......... around because I might as well tell you it's awful.

(a) treading
(b) footing
(c) walking
(d) tripping

Test No. incompl/inter-70 "How to criticize", answer 5

There's really no virtue of me pussy footing around because I might as well tell you it's awful.

Correct answer: (b) footing

Especially I didn't understand the meaning of word that follows after "of me"
Thank you in advance for your explanation
pupil

Correct answer: (b) footing

There was originally "of me" what I considered to be correct, and now is "in me" in this test.
Why?

Regards :)

There's really no virtue in me pussyfooting around because I might as well tell you it's awful.

The above one is my question. Sorry, I've forgotten to log.

The speaker is putting it to you bluntly. He is not going to be diplomatic about it ... just telling you straight out, " It's bloody awful ".
