[quote="pupil"]Hello Alan! I didn't understand at all this sentence:
Test No. incompl/inter-70 "How to criticize", question 5
There's really no virtue of me in pussy ......... around because I might as well tell you it's awful.
(a) treading (b) footing (c) walking (d) tripping
Test No. incompl/inter-70 "How to criticize", answer 5
There's really no virtue of me pussy footing around because I might as well tell you it's awful.
Correct answer: (b) footing
There was originally "of me" what I considered to be correct, and now is "in me" in this test. Why?
Regards :) |

It is now:
There's really no virtue in me pussyfooting around because I might as well tell you it's awful.
The above one is my question. Sorry, I've forgotten to log. |

The speaker is putting it to you bluntly. He is not going to be diplomatic about it ... just telling you straight out, " It's bloody awful ". _________________ Keep it simple ... Keep it interesting. |
