Some movies are serious, designed to make the audience think. Other movies are designed primarily to amuse and entertain. Which type of movie do you prefer?

Some people like funny movies because they could forget their problems and worries during watching these films. Others prefer to watch some serious movies. There are some advantages and disadvantages of both type of movie, but in my opinion, serious movies are preferable to movies are designed primarily to amuse and entertain. In the following essay, I will explain my choice.

First of all, movies, designed to think about, are able to open your eyes about some problems on earth. For example, I watched the film „City of God“ some years ago. The movie deals intensively with the problems of young south Americans living in slums. This film helps me to realize that I can be very happy to live in a country in which crime, violence or drugs are not normal and that this circumstance gives you the responsibility for helping others. As a consequence, after I watched this film I became a member of amnesty international. Therefore, I think that a good serious film are able to open your eyes about problems in the world.

Secondly, you can learn a lot of things in serious movies. For instance, if you watch some documentaries about a country, you will learn a lot about the culture and the inhabitants of this country. Moreover, documentaries help you to improve your knowledge and level of education, which will help you to be successful in school or study.

Finally, I believe that serious movies improve communications between friends and family. In my experiences, people discuss more about a serious movie than about a funny movie due to serious movies are more complex than movie are designed to entertain. Hence, people want to talk about the film they have watched, because they have some question about the sophisticated plot of the film.

In conclusion, I prefer watching a serious movie more than seeing a funny movie. Serious movies have the capability to change opinions of people and therefore they are able to make the world to a better place.

I totaly agree with the supporting ideas you mentioned in your essay. Documentaries increase our level of education and funny movies make us feel happies, however you forgot to talk about the fiction movies, which fill our mind with strange and imaginative creatures. I'd like to here from you what you think about this kind of movie.

A lot of people like to watch films,which give for us many information.And i agree that films can tell us a lot about the country where they were made.So, in the next lines of my essay i will try to prove my opinion by specific arguments.

Firs of all,movies reflect the culture,political and social life of the particular country. For example Indian,Arabian and Mexican have really clear and unique traditions.And films could show traditional dances,songs,meals and other things.Also,some movies reflect what is invaluable in country it could be rich man and poor women wedding,love for other country people and etc.Sometimes,the movies show the biggest problems and disasters of country.

Secondly,films demonstrate the particular country nature.In some scenes we could just watch the environmental.For example in many different films,which made in USA are show statue of liberty or big buildings.And when people see this symbols,they know where particular film made.This example proves that everyone films present country and show most popular buildings.

In conclusion, everyone movies help to better know particular country.Some films demonstrate nature and most important valuable things in all world.Another reflect traditions,values, disasters, characters of peoples and many other things,which help get a lot of information and see many countries.
