Hi teachers,

Can we say that someone is encouraged by his experience to do something?
For example,
Peter was encouraged by his 18 years of working experience to help the new comers to develop their skills necessary for the company business?

Please kindly advise, teachers.

Thank you.

Kitty.

Normally encouragement comes from other people, not from oneself.
Confidence is self promoted though.
