I would like to ask when we should add the word "that" after and? for example, I had ever seen some sentences like this on the Internet: He said that he is not a lawyer for anyone, and that he endeavors to help those who need him. _________________ 各位前輩安安, 我是kitty喔! |

It is often a style choice. In your last example, the two ideas are two different views of the same point, and 'and that' sets up the distinction better. In your earlier sentence, it is just a list of 2 things he will do. _________________ Native English teacher at Mister Micawber's |
