hi!
when you want to say the word "broader" you have to use this phonetic symbol /d/ ( alveolar) and if you want to say "brother" say it using this symbol /ð/ ( interdental) |

Hello Hieupt!
Having trouble with t as in tree and th as in three, and d as in broader and th as in brother is very common among language learners.
Producing these sounds in the mouth is very similar for all of them. For t and d, touch your tongue to the top of your mouth immediately behind your front teeth. For the two th sounds practice by first licking the front of your top teeth, then with your tongue touching the outer edge of your teeth (the ones you see when you smile), bring your tongue back into your mouth while making the th sound: th - th - th.
You should hear a difference between broader and brother. Just practice the two words with your tongue in each position. _________________ There's no such thing as an exception to the rule...

Hi Hieu Phan,
You can use the website: http://vdict.com to look up the dictionary and check pronunciation. Of course, you have a headphone, don't you? (^_^) |
