Many times I come across the words of which I do not know the meaning, sometimes, I know the meaning but do not know their correct usage. So, I started this topic for all the students who face the same as I. Please Torsten and all the teachers help us.

Hello Teachers,
WORD : Disparage
MEANING : Express a negative opinion of
USAGE : He disparages my character in front of others.

Have I used the word correctly?
Please reply friend.

Hi Nainajain,
I think that the verb "to disparage" is apparently more used with concrete things than abstract ones.
For example, we can say "you shouldn't disparage this subject".
