Many people think that parents are the most important factor for students to become successful in school. Others believe that classmates influence the success of students more than their parents do. However, in my opinion, there are several reasons and examples, which show that parents influence the success of students in school more than their classmates. In the following essay, I will explain my choice.

First of all, parents lay the cornerstone of their children's education. For example, many statistics show that the educational level of parents influence fundamentally the success of their children in school. Moreover, many parents teach their children some basic knowledge in different subjects, such as language, mathematic or also biology, helping them to receive a good degree.

Secondly, parents are able to teach their children some social skills, such as helpfulness, friendliness or even social responsibility. These social skills will help their children to find easily new friends in school, so that they can learn together for tests or exams in order to pass them successfully. Furthermore, the social skills prevent children for having wrong friends, such as friends who are addicted to drugs. As a consequence, the children will always advance and become successful in school and also life.

Finally, parents are able to motivate their children to do more sports or eat healthy food, like organic food or not genetically modified food, which will cause an improvement of children's health. Therefore, children do not miss much lessons, which will help them to succeed in school. Additionally, children with a good health are able to follow a lesson easier, since they are able to concentrate on lessons over a long time span.

In conclusion, I am totally convinced that parents influence the success of students in school more than classmate do. Hence, parents should have some qualities, such as being helpful, having a good educational level or also being friendly.
