There are several reasons concerning why people work for and all of them lead to a salary earned at the end of the month. Most people work for being able to provide themselves as well as their families. However, at times, we may ask ourselves about rich people that could have already dropped out of their jobs, but keep on following their daily routines.
When I person who has just graduated starts out working at his/her first job, it feels like as if he had just conquered the whole world, therefore, he works more, produces more, and not only is salary one of the main reasons for this person working, but also the pure and sincere desire to build up something, to increase his knowledge, in other words, to give a deep breathe and reinforce that he is working and belongs to his country´s working class.
People just like Bill Gates wouldn´t need to stress themselves on a massive daily working routine, and they are still up for that though, why? Well, if these people stop working, they simply fall apart, in the real meaning of the word. They´re kind of addicted to what they do, what they represent, and quitting their jobs isn´t a real alternative for them. Do you really believe that they work for money? Of course they do, but just to make sure that they are going to increase their wealth more and more, and they can just feel pleased with themselves due to the fact that what they are here up to is being well done.
For last but not the least, the saddest working class is composed by people who neither enjoy what they do nor are in need of making money to whatever reasons it may be. These people work because they kind of cover some professional desire that their parents would like they did or stood for, however, they don´t like it but are obligated to. This reason would fit into the obligated job positions category, and it´s by far the saddest one, but we all know exists.
To summarize, it doesn´t matter why we work for, but so if we´re achieving our goals, our objectives as human beings, because that would be out of purpose otherwise. Of course that making the money to survive is what really cares, but life is just one, and once you´re no longer here, what would you like people remember to you for? |
