Hi,
In British English it would be pronounced as if the 'e' was an 'a'. I'll let a native American speaker finish the other half of your question.

Hi Blue,
It's a longer sound -'clerk'.

The American pronunciation is something like: Klurk, British is: Klark.

In English, people lengthen or shorten the words according to their mood/accent/dialect and one million other factors. Do I really have to point out something that even an idiot would know?
It is just like on the other thread here -> Does that sound omit?
I was obviously trying to overemphasise the "s" on the other thread to remind the OP not to forget pronouncing the "s". I made it so obvious that I thought even an idiot could tell. |
