Dear English experts,

I got the below sentences:
1. It was he/him who just left the company yesterday.
=> I think "he" is suitable.
2. Just between you and I/me, I don't like this food.
=> I think it should be "me".

I'm actually not very sure about this grammar point, would someone explain to me in advance?

after a verb or after preposition we use objective form of pronoun like just between you and me here between is preposition. In subject we use subjective form of pronoun.
