May I take a photograph together with you? #1 (permalink) Wed Oct 14, 2009 6:30 am   May I take a photograph together with you?

Hello guys,

I want to take a photograph together with my director and his wife in the office ceremony, because some friends did it.

So I asked them like this sentence:

May I take a photograph together with you?

Is that correct sentence?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Rosario,

I would say: May I take a photograph of you both together/the two of you? Or if you want to be included in the photograh: May I take a photograph of the three of us together?

The problem is if he wants to be included in the photo, how should he take it without a tripod, considering the situation. Maybe he should say, "May I have a photograph taken of the three of us?"

What about an automatic timer? You don't always need a tripod, do you?

I agree with you again, sir, but maybe we should picture a common scene for the above situation, which is, to me, to think of a third party to take the photo for them.

Hi James,

I can't help wondering whether some of your comments are what they seem to be!

Well, Alan, maybe they don't because I am not good at making comments...; but I was just from another angle, such as the weather report, which could be a report reporting a weather forecast. Don't you agree?

Best regards,

James
